Life’s a Beach – A Sunday Morning Treat

Overlooking Summerleaze beach in Bude is the wonderful café, Life’s a Beach. Situated perfectly to be implemented into any beach day, its location is not the only thing that makes it a sensational spot. The wonderful breakfasts, lunches and cakes are all delicious, tasting even better when accompanied by the sea views. And it’s dog friendly!

Breakfast

The breakfast menu, served between 10 and 11:50, has a great selection of everyone’s favourite breakfast dishes. From a traditional full English to avocado on toast, there is something for everyone. There is also a good range of veggie and vegan options as well as gluten free alternatives. We love highlighting restaurants that work to create an inclusive environment with their food options and we feel Life’s a Beach is doing a great job. The coffee is also delicious, a fantastic addition to a chilly winter morning. If you need to warm up after a swim in the sea, the Mexican hot chocolate with Cornish rum, cinnamon and chilli is a decadent and tasty choice.

Lunch

Once again, the range of choices on the menu is fantastic at Life’s a Beach. With an array of veggie and vegan options, everyone gets the luxury of struggling to decide what to order. Their fish is locally sourced within the south west and is top quality, changing by the day. From crab, to Thai fish cakes to a traditional fish and chips, there is something for every fish lover.

If fish isn’t your thing, don’t worry! With a range of burger options, loaded fries and kid’s favourites, everyone will feel spoiled for choice.

The Perfect Beach Day

If you love a swim in the sea and the refreshed feeling after a dip in the Atlantic, Bude’s beaches are well equipped. If the sea is like a second home to you then the coast is your oyster, however, if you want to experience the wonders of the Cornish sea but are nervous about waves or currents, then Bude sea pool is the perfect solution.
