Heligan Night Garden
This week we went to the Heligan Night Garden. This magical winter experience is a beautiful light show woven throughout the Heligan gardens which includes incredible light sculptures, decorated trees and attractions. We had an amazing time and were stunned by how brilliant the gardens were.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan contain a range of beautiful flowers and plants as well as walks to enjoy with your dog. Heligan is Europe’s largest garden restoration, with 200 acres of land, it makes a fantastic day out. It was restored in 1990 having been left to nature since the outbreak of World War One. Now, thanks to its re-establishment, its beauty can be enjoyed by everyone.
Magical Walk
The Heligan Night Garden was a magical walk with fabulous displays such as a tractor decorated in fairy lights, lots of trees all lit up and glowing animals throughout the walk. From roasting marshmallows to a delicious BBQ and a great dog walk, we found our evening at Heligan to be a fun and unique trip and highly recommend it!
The Night Garden also featured a beautiful shooting star display which was in support of the Children’s Hospice South West. The ‘Star Garden’ contained 89 stars, each representing a bereaved family of Little Harbour, Children’s Hospice. On the 12th of November, The Gardens hosted the charities annual Moonlight Memory Walk and raised over £25,000.
