The Mariners, Rock

The menu aims to be inclusive for everyone with many dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Options range from a classic fish and chips to oysters or a burger. Paul Ainsworth said – “I plan on keeping this Cornish jewel a destination for the local community and holidaymakers alike and look forward to welcoming guests”. The Mariners is only a half an hour drive from Helsbury! Book online or call 01841 532093.
The Rising Sun, Truro
The Rising Sun (Truro) is located just outside of Truro city centre. The owners put a lot of work into transforming an old, rundown pub into what is now a gorgeous, award winning gastropub. The menu is locally sourced and thoughtfully cultivated with options ranging from smoked haddock to loin of beef. They also have vegetarian options like herb and truffle gnocci. Be sure to let them know if you have dogs with you as they will ensure you have a table in a dog friendly area. Also, if you have young kids, let them know and they will make sure you have a highchair or anything else you might need. It is about an hours drive from Helsbury, but is well worth the drive!
