About Marhayes Cottage

Marhayes is one of our large converted stone barns. It offers spacious open plan living downstairs and three generous en-suite bedrooms upstairs. Refurbished using traditional local materials such as slate and granite, Marhayes mixes character with modern comfort.

Marhayes sleeps 6 in three bedroom. Two rooms have four poster beds one of which is king-size. The third room has zip-link beds that will be configured as a twin if your party contains children and a double if all guests are adults unless requested otherwise. All the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is an additional family bathroom downstairs. A separate utility room with space for drying waterproofs or dogs makes this a perfect base for families who love the outdoors. A terrace runs along the whole front of the house, accessed from patio doors in the dining area with spectacular views, a barbecue and picnic table.

A range cooker, wood-burner and washer dryer all add to the feeling of a dream home-from-home. Meanwhile traditional materials and exposed beams teamed with high ceilings and light, modern decor provide rustic charm and room to breathe.

Marhayes is built at right-angles with Westhayes and they share an open-plan garden at the front, with a small enclosed area to the rear where dogs can be allowed out in a controlled space.

This balances privacy with convenience should a larger family wish to use both properties.
